The movie is slow and the interaction btwn these two people is sometimes unbelievable. Mitchum seemed out of character as a doting caregiver — he`s usually cast as a hard-nosed tough guy. But this added to my curiosity to see how the relationship between these two misfits would turn out. I would recommend this film only to those that are serious film buffs, or those who enjoy the films of Mitchum and MacLaine. interesting moviebuff 06/17/2009    Slow action, not a block buster but it says more about Robert Mitchum and Shirley MacLaine and their abilities to both build and then sustain a character in this movie. When I stumbled on this movie I already knew about the lead character`s so I did not expect much from this black and white. They seem to rescue what may have been a dull and almost boring movie. It took me away for about two hours, and no I wouldn`t suggest that anyone must see this movie. It is what it is and the presence of Mitchum and MacLaine make this an experience that adds to my life.
