The family, headed by Gideon (Paul Butler) and Suzie (Mary Alice), is undergoing strife, and Harry assists by helping them rediscover their roots. But, he also starts bringing in his shady friends and begins to drink heavily. After Gideon has a stroke, Harry takes over the household with disastrous results.
