The Big Blue   1988         PG, 119 min. Genre: Foreign / Drama Director: Luc Besson   Cast: Rosanna Arquette, Jean-Marc Barr, Jean Reno, Paul Shenar, Sergio Castellitto, Marc Duret, Griffin Dunne   Boyhood friends (and rivals) meet again during free diving championships, both having held deepest dive records. Thus, the old rivalry heats up again. Meanwhile, Joanna (Rosanna Arquette) had met Jacques (one of the divers) and now follows him to the competition in the Mediterranean off Italy in attempts to gain his love. So-so, but the underwater photography is good.
