Frankie Paige's (Patricia Arquette) grandmother sent her a rosary from Brazil, and soon after Frankie suffers from puncture wounds in both wrists. Then other wounds appear, and word spreads to Rome. The Vatican sends an investigator of miracles, Father Andrew Kiernan (Gabriel Byrne) to look into the matter, and as more evidence comes to light, he begins to suspect a diabolical phenomenon is taking place. 1 User Review

| | A truly regrettable film. | 1fatts 04/09/2007 | This is a film that pretty much wastes everyone who is associated with it.
The plot has holes you could drive a truck through if you were interested enough to waste the gas. I`m not a Christian, but I know enough about basic doctrine to know that they have the religious perspectives on this pretty much wrong in almost every way. The actors say and do silly things as well as they can, but they are still silly things.
It`s one of those films where you kind of wonder what get into all these people to get involved with such a thing in the first place. |
