Arthur Hamilton (John Randolph) uses the services, and, after plastic surgery, he is turned into a "Second," appears to be 20 years younger, and is renamed Tony Wilson (now played by Rock Hudson). Off he goes to a California beach community as a swinging bachelor with a girlfriend, Nora (Salome Jens), and a butler, John (Wesley Addy). All goes well—until he learns that the people in his community are all "Seconds," and he is trapped in his new world.
