  The original filmed version of this movie was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Film. Sadly, the effect was lost when more than 60 minutes of celluloid was deleted from the American reproduction. While the plot now appears confused, it is the story of the Nazis' brutal invasion of Yugoslavia in 1943.
