Randy is falsely accused of the murders and is taken to jail. The saloon owner's niece, Sally Rogers (Alberta Vaughn), helps Randy escape so that he can find the real culprits. Randy finds the killers hiding in a cave with their leader Marvin Black (George "Gabby" Hayes) who poses as Peyote Pass shop-keeper Matt the Mute while plotting to take control of the town. Randy joins the gang members as part of his plan to bring them to justice.
