Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero   1998         N/R, 70 min. Mr. Freeze (voice of Michael Ansara) is living at the Arctic Circle with his wife Nora who is cryogenically frozen while awaiting a heart transplant. When a submarine crashes the ice around Freeze's cave home, the seal of Nora's cryo-chamber is broken, and an organ transplant is needed immediately. Freeze's solution: abduct Batgirl (voice of Mary Kay Bergman) whose blood type matches Nora's. This act, of course, leads to Batman (voice of Kevin Conroy) and Robin (voice of Loren Lester) setting out to rescue Batgirl. The animation is good; the plot is filled with violence. So, IF children are not frightened by violence, this is a good film for those old enough to understand the moral lessons behind the story.
