She lives with her father (Harry Dean Stanton) and runs around with Iona and Duckie (Annie Potts and Jon Cryer). Andie falls for rich kid Blane McDonnagh (Andrew McCarthy). Blane does ask her to the Senior Prom, but then his friends tease him about his choice for a date.
