They meet slave boy Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd) who they determine may be the "chosen one" and enlist him to help their cause of saving their world from the Trade Federation.

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) takes off on an investigation of the planet Kamino. But, he is captured after discovering a plot to create an army of clones prepared to kill Padme and fight an intergalactic war. Will Obi-Wan Kenobi's distress call be answered in time?

Mark Hamill plays boy hero Luke Skywalker who, under the guidance of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), comes to the rescue. The mission is enhanced by a pair of robots–R2-D2 and C-3PO (Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels)–along with Han Solo (Harrison Ford). The film won seven Oscars and was nominated for Best Picture, Director, Supporting Actor (Guinness), and Writing.

Luke travels to a distant planet to become a Jedi knight from Jedi Master Yoda (voice of Frank Oz) in order to do battle with Darth Vader (David Prowse, voice of James Earl Jones). Great special effects and good plot.
