Strange things begin to happen, especially when Carol Anne is called to the television set where she announces, "They're here." More horrors lie in wait in this excellent story about unhappy ghosts. This film was co-written and co-produced by Steven Spielberg. There are sequels.

As if the Freeling family–father Steve (Craig T. Following Grandma's death, the toy telephone rings, and who should be on the other end but the "other side." Now the family is visited by the evil spirit of cult leader Henry Kane (Julian Beck), and, once again, they contact psychic medium Tangina Barrons (Zelda Rubinstein) for help. As in the first film, the special effects are excellent.

But, the evil creatures are not fooled, and the ghost of the evil Reverend Kane (Nathan Davis) is haunting Carol Anne and wants her to follow him "into the light."
