  In 480 B.C., when Persian King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) led his army of over 100,000 against 300 Spartans led by King Leonidas (Gerard Butler), the Persian army overwhelmed the Spartans. But, the valliant effort of the Spartan army inspired other Greeks to mount a resistance to the Persians. The result of their actions marks the beginning of the concept of democracy.

  A virus has hit the U.S. resulting in corpses turning into blood-thirsty zombies. Ana (Sarah Polley) returns from her nursing duties and finds that her husband has been turned into a zombie. She escapes but finds zombies everywhere she goes. Ana is rescued by a cop, Kenneth (Ving Rhames), and then joins a small group of survivors, including Michael (Jack Weber) and Andre (Mekhi Phifer). They head for Crossroads Mall where they enjoy a few minutes of peace–until zombies arrive on the scene. Using a shuttle buss, they ram their way out of the mall and head for the boat docks hoping to find safety on an island. But, will they find that the island is really free from zombies?

  The year is 1985 in an alternate universe, and the tensions between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. have reached an all-time high. The Watchmen, who are costumed adventurers, must come to the rescue. One member of Gen 2, Laurie/Silk Spectre (Malin Ackerman), spans both Generations because she is the child of a Gen 1 member (Carla Gugino). Gen 1 Watchmen have moved on; Ozymandias (Matthew Goode) has become a head of industry, and Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup) is now a physicist. When The Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is killed, his former colleague Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley) joins forces with his group of retired Gen 2 Watchmen to uncover a plot to rid the world of superheroes.
