44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shoot-Out 2003 R, 95 min. Genre: Drama
Director: Yves Simoneau Cast: Michael Madsen, Ron Livingston, Mario Van Peebles, Andrew Bryniarski, Oleg Taktarov, Ray Baker, Douglas Spain, Jullian Dulce Vida, Dale Dye, Clare Carey, Alex Meneses, Katrina Law
This made-for-cable TV film is based on a real event that is often considered to have been the most intense shootout in Los Angeles Police history. On February 28, 1997, two bank robbers–who were known as "The High Incident Bandits" due to their crime spree–attempted to rob a bank in North Hollywood. The heavily armed pair kept numerous police and S.W.A.T. team members at bay for 44 minutes. This film recreates (with some fictionalization) that event. 1 User Review

Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee 2007 TV, 135 min. Genre: Drama / Western
Director: Yves Simoneau Cast: Aidan Quinn, Adam Beach, August Schellenberg, J.K. Simmons, Eric Schweig, Wes Studi, Colm Feore, Gordon Tootoosis, Fred Dalton Thompson, Anna Paquin, Shaun Johnston, Wayne Charles Baker, Eddie Spears, Lee Tergesen, Tom Carey
This made-for-TV docudrama begins with the Sioux victory over General Custer and his troops at Little Big Horn in 1876 and follows through to the massacre of Native Americans at Wounded Knee almost 15 years later. Several intervening stories are told including that of Charles Eastman (Adam Beach) a Sioux doctor working to improve the Native Americans' quality of life, Lakota chief Sitting Bull (August Schellenberg) proudly holding on to his land, and Henry Dawes (Aidan Quinn) who helped develop the U.S. government policy on Indian affairs. Observing from different perspectives, it becomes apparent that achieving assimilation proves to be a difficult process.

Director: Yves Simoneau Cast: Jamie Lee Curtis, Joanne Whalley, Peter Gallagher, Vanessa Redgrave, Luke Edwards, Colin Ward, Joey Zimmerman, Joss Ackland, Paul(2) Guilfoyle, John C. McGinley
What would make a woman (Jamie Lee Curtis) leave her husband (Peter Gallagher) and three sons? Even more interesting, what would make that same woman return a few years later and try to get back into the family fold? Weak.

Nuremberg 2000 TV, 175 min. Genre: Drama
Director: Yves Simoneau Cast: Alec Baldwin, Jill Hennessy, Brian Cox, Michael Ironside, Christopher Plummer, Max von Sydow, Matt Craven, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Colm Feore, Herbert Knaup
Alec Baldwin performs admirably as Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson to whom fell the responsibility of prosecuting Nazi war criminals Hermann Goring (Brian Cox), Rudolf Hess (Colm Feore), and Albert Speer (Herbert Knaup). A good reenactment of history and lessons that must never be forgotten.
