  An American, David Pollock (Gregory Peck), is a professor of languages at Oxford University who translates a message in hieroglyphics. When Middle Eastern leaders, spies, and oil sheiks try to obtain the contents of the secret message, Pollack partners with Yasmin Azir (Sophia Loren), but her motives are questionable as Pollack is propelled into the world of international espionage.

  Based on "The Thief of Baghdad," this animated story involves the perilous adventures of a poor cobbler, Tack (Sean Connery), who upsets master vizier Zigzag (voice of Vincent Price) and is sentenced to be executed. But, after King Nod's (Anthony Quayle) daughter, Princess Yum Yum (Hilary Pritcher), takes a liking to him, his execution is stayed and he joins the princess on a quest to save the kingdom. Work on this animated film began in 1968 but was not released 25 years later.
