Fred's starring role goes to his head, and his arrogance leads to him forgetting to buy Christmas presents for his family. But, all ends happily after Fred receives a visit from the Ghost of Christmas Past and sees the error of his ways.

  This is Disney's excellent animated version of Hans Christian Andersen's mermaid Ariel (voice of Jodi Benson), who falls in love with a handsome human (voice of Christopher Daniel Barnes). The song "Under the Sea" won an Oscar. Songwriter Alan Menken also won an Oscar for Best Musical Score, and another of his songs, "Kiss the Girl," was nominated.

They believe that Chanticleer's crowing will chase away the clouds and bring back the sun. When they do arrive in the city, the group discovers that because Chanticleer has become a rock star, it is almost impossible to get near him. Never fear, by story's end, Chanticleer is back on the farm, and happiness reigns.
