While attending a funeral, Harold meets and then falls in love with swinging, life-loving 79-year-old Maude (Ruth Gordon)–much to the disgust of his mother. But, as Harold passes into manhood, Maude teaches him lessons about how best to spend his time on Earth. Good soundtrack by Cat Stevens.

Predictable clone of "Deliverance" with good photography.
