Left to solve the problem are parents who appear incapable of dealing with the situation, and the Chumscrubber comes to the fore.

The biggest problem confronting the sheriff is that virtually everyone in town hated the rotten Mona. The idea is clever, but somewhere along the way the execution failed.

Despite the despair, there is a message of love and hope that permeates this story.
