| | Anonymous 09/28/2009 | | Remembering this movie was made in 1949, I was charmed by the picture of life as it used to be. Walter Brennan is a character you love to hate and love to love at the same time. Natalie Wood is as charming as ever and though the story line is a bit thin and the ending predictable, it is a feel good bit of fluff . Wlater Brennan and Natalie Wood are a good combination for the black and white cinema. |

Our Hearts Were Growing Up 1946 N/R, 83 min. Genre: Comedy
Director: William D. Russell Cast: Gail Russell, Diana Lynn, Brian Donlevy, Billy De Wolfe, James Brown, Bill Edwards, William Demarest, Mikhail Rasumny, Mary Hatcher, Sara Haden
This sequel to "Our Hearts Were Young And Gay" doesn't match that one, but is still OK entertainment as we follow Cornelia Otis Skinner (Gail Russell) to college in the 1920s where she and her friend (Diana Lynn) get involved with bootleggers.
