Ten-year-old Joey (William Dix) returns home after two years of mental treatment for killing his sister. He is then under the charge of the real killer–his psychotic Nanny (Bette Davis). Joey's mother (Wendy Craig) is poisoned and nearly dies from food prepared by the Nanny, but still no one–except Joey's neighbor friend Bobbie (Pamela Franklin)–believes that the nanny is responsible.
