Meanwhile, Aunt Roberta passes away, and John inherits the boutique and enters into a partnership with Aunt Roberta's assistant Stephanie (Irene Dunne). This is a very early Astaire/Rogers pairing, and it is worthwhile viewing.

Because Ollie's wife Lottie (Mae Busch) gets seasick, Stan goes with Ollie on the supposed sea voyage, but, instead, they head off to Chicago. All goes well, but when they return, they learn that the ship they were supposed to have been sailing on has sunk, and the alibi does not work.
