  Aliens have been held in District 9 ever since their spaceship came to a standstill over South Africa 28 years ago. MNU agent Wikus Van De Merwe (Sharlto Copley) leads the eviction operation, but, when he becomes exposed to biotechnology that mutates his DNA, tensions rise. Wikus becomes the most wanted creature on Earth and is pursued because he alone holds the key to unlocking the aliens' weapons technology.

Riordan hires lawyer Brad Gordon (Beau Bridges), and an excellent courtroom drama unfolds when Gordon challenges Judge Michael Lengel (Mel Ferrer) and the legal system that failed.
