Meanwhile, Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) is now divorced and working as a restorer of art at a museum. While she is working on a portrait of Vigo the Carpathian, the portrait becomes hexed, and the ghost of Vigo (Wilhelm von Homburg) wants to take over the body of Dana's child. As slime oozes up from the streets of Manhattan, the Ghostbusters reunite in an effort to save New York City.

After discovering that they can buy on credit, they move into a motor home but soon find that their lives have not changed and sadly resemble those that they had lived in Germany. This is an excellent social satire.
