Meanwhile, nightclub singer Maxine (Anne Jeffreys) enters the picture, and she and Hammer become romantically involved. The question is whether or not Maxine is really on Hammer's side in this story of intrigue.

The production company is out of money and must put on the show within the next few days to take care of debts. It turns out that Glen can sing, and, reluctantly, he steps into the leading role to save the show. Of course, the show is a hit, and Glen also gets the girl, Christine (Gloria DeHaven).
