  Former British agent Harry Palmer (Michael Caine) has become a private investigator and accepts an assignment to deliver a thermos flask to a friend in Finland. Once there, he becomes involved in a billionaire's plot to upset the balance of the Cold War. This is the third in the series of Harry Palmer films; the others are "Ipcress File" (1965) and "Funeral in Berlin" (1966).

British astrophysicist John Kane (Ian Hendry) and American astronaut Colonel Glenn Ross (Roy Thinnes) set off on an expedition to investigate the phenomenon with interesting results.

  James Bond (Sean Connery) is back in his second film and discovers that he is on the Russian "hit list." A deadly trap has been set involving enemy agent Red Grant (Robert Shaw) who is assigned to take the machine from Bond and kill him. A fight to the death ensues between Bond and Grant aboard the Orient Express.

Quint devises a plan to free the POWs and then bomb the plant, but his friend is killed in the otherwise successful operation.

  I still have this movie, it was one I first bought when dvds came out and I am going to put it on dvd, it is an excellent movie,really shows what can happen and if you have the strength to survive it.he is and always will be my favorite actor.
