He stows away on a ship and gets off at Genoa in search of a dentist to take care of his toothache. There he meets a waitress, Marta (Isa Miranda), and romance blossoms. But, authorities are still on his trail. The film won an Honorary Oscar for Outstanding Foreign Film.
