  Almost unknown this love story fantasy deserves to be rated among the best to come out of America. All performances are a credit to the author. Rarely if ever will you see a script with such a sincere meaning of the word 'Hello'. The film score enhances the tale as all great films do.

An Academy Award was also given for Best Writing, and nominations were received for Best Picture, Actress (Hepburn), Supporting Actress (Ruth Hussey for her role as Macaulay's girlfriend), and Director.

The British government then ordered Nuggin to sabotage the slave trade. This film is based on the true story that took place in Philadelphia during 1842.
