Jane had gained stardom as the child star "Baby Jane," but her career then faded. Blanche, on the other hand, as an adult rose to success as a film star but was severely injured in an accident and has been paralyzed ever since. Jane tortures and plots to murder Blanche while planning a comeback in the show business world with help from musician Billy Cork (John Glover) who is destined–because of Jane–to meet a tragic end.
