Riddick, who has eyes that can see in darkness, is the only one who can see the creatures, and the survivors realize that they must depend on Riddick if they are to escape the creatures that are eating them, one by one.

Spielberg won his second Director Oscar, and nominations included Best Picture and Actor (Tom Hanks). In all, the film won five Oscars and was nominated for six others.
