Leo is preparing to marry young Blanche (Candyce Mason) and wants to groom his son to take over the Cadillac dealership. Meanwhile, Axel falls hard for widow Elaine (Faye Dunaway). Some good acting, and much weird stuff goes on.

The country as well as Esteban's family are fighting, but Esteban finally renounces his power and oppression.
