Lejaune plots to get the jewels that are rumored to be in Beau's possession, but Arab forces attack, and Beau is killed. More tragedies ensue before John is the sole surviving brother, and he heads home to his fiancee Isobel (Mary Brian). An exellent silent film.

They are accompanied by Indian troops and water-bearer Gunga Din (Sam Jaffe) and manage to complete their mission. Later, Cutter and Gunga Din search for gold and find it–in the Thugges' headquarters, and the dangers reach new heights.

Taking the place of a missionary who died on the trip, Doll becomes a woman of God, who eventually decides to return to San Francisco to clear herself.

Finally, only two men remain alive–Sergeant Morelli (Wallace Ford) and Sanders–and the desperate fight for survival continues. Another John Ford masterpiece with interesting characters.
