Ashley to Scarlett: "Isn't it enough that you've gathered every other man's heart today? You've always had mine. You cut your teeth on it." This film won nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Director, Actress (Leigh), and Supporting Actress (McDaniel). It was also nominated for five other awards.

Now, pieces of the puzzle fit together, and they figure out that Field's co-worker Lew Haley (Pat Hingle) is the guilty culprit. Dillman and Haley have a confrontation, and Haley crashes through the hi-rise office window and plummets to the pavement below.

James Cagney as Bottom and the music of Mendelssohn are especially good. This was the film debut of Olivia de Havilland in her role as Hermia. Mohr's Oscar was the only write-in ever. An Oscar was also awarded for Best Film Editing, and a nomination was received for Best Picture.
