This film excels at depicting the effects of blindness: When Virgil first sees following the operation, he cries, "There is something wrong. This can't be seeing...Give me something in my hands." But, the storyline disappoints with its melodramatic unconvincing ending.    1 User Review

I thought is was good to show how someone that is different can get along in the world with the right support. It shows how a person can love another based on who they really are. It's like reading a book then watching a movie. Somehow the book was better because you are forced to imagine. And your imagination is better than a hollywood director. Anyway, I thought it was touching and moving and explained a lot about the human condition. We are all prejudice in one way or another, based on very little.

After the Cowboys take revenge by killing Morgan and injuring Virgil, Wyatt leaves town. But, Wyatt returns as a U.S. marshal and hunts down the Cowboys, which results in their leader, Johnny Ringo (Michael Biehn), challenging Wyatt to a duel. This time around, more attention is given to providing insights into those involved, as well as accuracy in detail. Overall, a good story.

Wings of Courage   1995     2 and a half stars    G, 40 min.
Genre: Adventure
Director: Jean-Jacques Annaud
Cast: Craig Sheffer, Elizabeth McGovern, Tom Hulce, Val Kilmer, Ken Pogue, Ron Sauve

Set in the 1930s, the story of an early aviator is told. His mail plane crashes in the Andes and he fights to survive. The story, based on a true adventure, is boring, but is worth at least one extra star for the beautiful presentation. It is the first "fictionalized" movie ever shown in 3D IMAX, and this alone makes it worth watching (as long as you watch it on the five-story-high IMAX).
