One day, 40 years ago, in Buffalo, New York, neighbors watched as $20 bills–$19,820 of them–fell from the sky. Ten-year-old Theresa (Hallee Hirsh) convinced family and friends that the money was a gift from God; the cash was divided, and all went their separate ways. Now, in 2000, Theresa (Ursula Burton) is a nun and tells her past neighbors and family that the gift was a loan from God that must be repaid. No one has the money, but they all work together to raise the funds and, in the process, learn about love and redemption.
