  Amelie (Audrey Tautou), a shy waitress working in the Montmarte section of Paris, begins meddling in the lives of those around her. While the result is brighter lives for those she touches, Amelie is forced to face her own loneliness and must find enough confidence to pursue Nino Quincampoix (Mathieu Kassovitz) in her quest for love. The film received five Academy Award nominations, including Best Foreign-Language Film.
