The castle is indeed haunted by those who died there, and they relive their deaths to Alan. Will he get away? I doubt it. Eerie and effective. Remade by the director in 1970 as "Web of the Spider."

Morgan finds hope when he cures vampire Ruth Collins (Franca Bettoia) with a transfusion of his own blood. However, his hope for the future will prove to be short-lived. This movie was later remade as "The Omega Man" and "I Am Legend."
