San Francisco Police Detective Michael Burrows (Joseph Fiennes) suffers with a major problem: he faints at the sight of blood. While trying to capture the "North Beach Serial Killer," Burrows' paranoia takes over, he fails to make the arrest, and is fired. Burrows has spent much of his time studying the Darwin Awards books that recognize people who have killed themselves when attempting something foolish, and he offers his knowledge to an insurance company. The company gives Burrows 30 days to prove that he has the ability to distinguish between legitimate and false claims. Off to the Midwest he goes with field agent Siri Tyler (Winona Ryder) and a film school student (Wilmer Valderrama) who is using Burrows for his thesis topic. The investigations begin as the trio runs across more than a few Darwinesque events leading to deaths.

They head for Crossroads Mall where they enjoy a few minutes of peace–until zombies arrive on the scene. Using a shuttle buss, they ram their way out of the mall and head for the boat docks hoping to find safety on an island. But, will they find that the island is really free from zombies?

The General does track down Banner and sends Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth) to Brazil to capture him. But, Banner turns into the giant green beast and escapes. Blonsky sees the change in Banner and wants to obtain the same powers for himself. He undergoes his own monster metamorphosis and becomes the Abomination. Now, the pursuit of "giant creature" by "giant creature" ensues.

The story revolves around a missing page in John Wilkes Booth's diary that Mitch Wilkinson (Ed Harris) informs Ben may show Ben's great-grandfather as a conspirator in Abraham Lincoln's assassination. The hunt is on, and the treasure hunters head to France, London, and Washington, D.C. looking for clues. Even kidnapping the President (Bruce Greenwood) is not out of the question as a means of getting their hands on top secrets concerning the Native Americans' Lost City of Gold, Cibola, in order to clear the family name. 1 User Review
