Susanna works with her psychiatrist, Dr. Sonia Wick (Angelina Jolie), and is guided by nurse Valerie (Whoopie Goldberg). Susanna leaves friends behind when she reclaims her independence and moves out of the institution and on with her life. Jolie won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
