Along come Lora (Gale Sondergaard) and John (Alan Mowbray) Travers who are in search of a rich heir. After seeing the Kid unmasked, Lora does not rat on him during a trial. She then concocts a scheme where the Kid pretends to be the heir so that she can share the wealth. Eventually, the Kid makes the right decision.
