The series takes a slight turn for the better after the poor #2. Jack (Tim Thomerson) is yanked to his own time (2252) due to a new Trancer threat. It is determined that this strain can be traced back to 2005, so off he goes. Along with an escapee from the Trancer training program (Melanie Smith), he sets about saving the world (again). Two more of these sequels to go.
