F/X 2: The Deadly Art of Illusion 1991 PG-13, 108 min. Genre: Action
Director: Richard Franklin Cast: Bryan Brown, Brian Dennehy, Rachel Ticotin, Joanna Gleason, Philip Bosco, Kevin J. O'Connor, Tom Mason, Dominic Zamprogna, Tony De Santis, Philip Akin
Special effects expert Rollie Tyler (Byran Brown) agrees (again) to help the police catch a killer. But he finds that there is a big conspiracy afoot, and he and his police buddy (Brian Dennehy) from the original film are on the run again. Lots of special effects, but the story is weak as it tries to exploit the popularity of James Bond.

An interesting cast of talented stars contribute to this story about the experiences of Gaetano Proclo (Jack Weston) when he chooses a gay bath house, the Ritz, as the perfect place to hide from his brother-in-law Carmine Vespucci (Jerry Stiller) who has promised his dying father that he will "Get Proclo!"

Originally a TV miniseries, this is a good, but gruesome, account of respected businessman John Wayne Gacy (Brian Dennehy) who was also a serial killer. By the time the police caught up with him, he had raped and killed 30 boys.
