Roger wants his family to get back together so that he can move out of his foster home and prays that the Angels will win the pennant. Roger's prayers are answered in the form of angel Al (Christopher Lloyd) who heads up a group of angels (appearing as glowing special effects) that arrive to help the team–much to the amazement of the Angels' manager George Knox (Danny Glover) and the long-suffering owner Hank Murphy (Ben Johnson).
