College student Nan Barlow (Venetia Stevenson) goes to a Massachusetts town to conduct research on witchcraft. She sure did come to the right place because the inn where she is staying is presided over by a witch that was burned at the stake in the late 17th century and had made a deal with the devil to return as an undead. The townsfolk are her coven, and it's time for the annual human sacrifice. Guess who has been chosen as the victim? A good film of this genre, with a spooky environment.
