  This film is based on the true story of 100 U.S. soldiers who were dropped into Somalia to capture two lieutenants of a warlord. Their planned one-hour kidnapping raid turns out to be an ambush during which two of the Black Hawk helicopters are shot down in what is now known as 1993's bloody Battle of Mogadishu. Oscars were received for Best Sound and Editing; Ridley Scott was nominated for Best Director.

Sean is a policeman assigned to the case and finds clues pointing to Dave who had been abused as a boy. He must also deal with Jimmy's rage. Great acting in this one. Sean Penn won an Oscar for Best Actor, and Tim Robbins won for Best Supporting Actor. The film also received Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Supporting Actress (Marcia Gay Harden), and Director.

Scotty helps himself to his stepfather's "Babe Ruth" autographed baseball and hits it for a home run. The problem is that the ball lands in Mr. Mertle's (James Earl Jones) junkyard, which is guarded by Mertle's snarling dog "The Beast." Now, the fun begins as Scotty and Benny devise ways to get the ball out of the junkyard by building ball-retrieving machines.
