All goes well–until Oliver runs into trouble when conniving lawyer Dennis Andrews (Walter Byron) enters the scene with his own plans for the nearby pickle factory that uses Oliver's barrels.

The show continues, and Murdock–between musical numbers–works to find the murderer before the end of the show. Songs include "Marijuana," "Where Do They Come from Now," and "Cocktails for Two."

Olympic swimming champions Don and Barbara (Buster Crabbe and Ida Lupino) have won a contest given by a "physical culture" magazine and find themselves in a power struggle with the magazine publishers. Don and Barbara have been hired as editors, but the publishers want them to pose in swim suits and show skin. But, Don and Barbara want the magazine to focus on health. They give up their positions in exchange for a health farm, which they refurbish and then invite beauty pageant workers to take jobs as health instructors for the guests. But more than a few problems lie ahead between Don and Barbara and the publishers before they find success.
