Director Wong Kar Wai's second film is set in 1960s' Hong Kong where handsome Yuddy (Leslie Cheung) dallies with two women and is unable to choose between them. Yuddy was raised by his ex-prostitute aunt (Rebecca Pan) who would not reveal the name of his birth-mother–until she makes plans to move to the U.S. When Yuddy learns that his birth-mother is in the Philippines, he heads there in pursuit.
