This story is told in flashback via a journal. The story is told by Cecilia (Nino Kirtadze) who met and fell in love with a Frenchman, Pascal Ichac (Pierre Richard), in the 1920s–before her native Georgia became part of the Soviet Union. When Communism became their way of life, Pascal lost his restaurant (and Cecilia)–but NEVER his unique talent for preparing culinary delights.
