After Wynnegate marries her, his cousin's wife, Diana (Katherine MacDonald), arrives with the news that the cousin is dead. Knowing that Jim took the rap because he loved Diana, his wife commits suicide to allow Jim and Diana to reunite, which is what they do. They head back to England where he assumes the position of Earl of Kerhill. A better film than the earlier one, showing the beginnings of DeMille's desire to make extravaganzas.
