At the beginning of this third film of the "Spider-Man" series, everything is going well for Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire), but that doesn't last long. Flint Marko–soon to be reconstituted as Sandman (Thomas Haden Church)–has escaped from prison and is embarking on a crime spree. Add to this Peter's former best friend, Harry Osborn (James Franco), who has been training for revenge against Spider-Man because he blames Spider-Man for his father's death. And, as if this was not enough, freelance photographer Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) is plotting to take Peter's job at the Daily Bugle. But, Eddie/the New Goblin is transformed into Venom after coming in contact with an alien goo that also permeates the Spider-Man costume and brings out the dark side of Peter. And finally, Peter's romance with Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) continues down its tumultuous road. Three villains vs. one hero equals lots of action and great special effects for Spider-Man's many fans to enjoy. 2 User Reviews

| | About what i thought | 06/05/2007 | | relying on the first to get another hit off a film, why bother making a sequel after sequel with no substance. |
| | The villains are GREAT | amelie 05/14/2007 | | Venom rocks, should have had more screen time. Topher Grace just keeps getting better and better with time. Special effects for Sandman were superb. If series continues, will miss James Franco and his character "Harry". Tobie Maguire is perfect as the subdued, conflicted Peter Parker. Also enjoyed Peter Parker's more aggressive, cocky persona in this one! I love these guys... |

This time around, more attention is given to providing insights into those involved, as well as accuracy in detail. Overall, a good story.
