This film is a good rendition of Irving Stone's biography of Rachel Jackson (Susan Hayward) and her famous husband, President Andrew Jackson (Charlton Heston). It follows Jackson's story from his days of fighting Seminole Indians, through his presidency, to his controversial marriage to the already married Rachel. 3 User Reviews

this is a very excellent movie. my sister found a dvd of this, we watched it just a few weeks ago, i have not seen this movie since i was a teenager. it is still one of the very best movies ever made in my opinion. and it still brings tears to my eyes. if you get to see this, have the klenex ready, you will need several. rb
