  This very funny satire on life and death in Southern California features Robert Morse as English poet Dennis Barlow who is employed by an L.A. pet cemetery, "Happy Hunting Grounds." Barlow watches the strange world of Aimee Thanatogenos (Anjanette Comer) who is the cosmetologist at Whispering Glades Memorial Park. Aimee eventually commits suicide by embalming herself (Rod Steiger plays the chief embalmer) and then being launched into space.
